No. 1695, Zone Case No. 1141. - 09/12/1963MP:djl CJCL:J Z;:.L9LR.zt/! tf )1 = .......... ==-=-====---=====o---oq-2LP-IlJ lP3 ORDINANCE NO. 4189 AN ORDINANCE AlVIENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1141: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF SECTIO 17, BLOCK B~ LUBBOCK COUNTY. TEXAS. FROM AN"R-1n TO AN ttR-3" ZONING DISTRICT. SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS: WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommend - ti.on, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and .. WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 10 llf, Vernonrs Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953,. and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more th~ fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commissio on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubb k, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NQW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 1141 Change a tract of land out of Section 17, Block B, Lubbock County, Texas.-from an uR-111 to an "R-3" Zoning District. Said prope~ty is further described by metes and bounds to-wit: BEGINNING at a point which is 198. 71 r south of the northwest corner of the southwest quarter of Settion 17.-Block B, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE South a distance of 208. 71 t; THENCE East a distance of 208. 71 t; THENCE North a distance of 208.71 1; THENCE West a distance of 208. 71 t to the "PLACE OF BEGINNING. SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: 1. That apartments only be constructed on the property. 2. That 1500 square feet of lot area be provided for each apartment unit. 3. That 1 1/2 paved off-street parking areas be provided per dwelling unit. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance., said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith. AND IT LS SO ORDERED.
