No 1695, Zone Case No 1128. - 07/25/1963AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE; ZONE CASE NO. 1128: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF SECTIO 3~ BLOCK E. LUBBOCK COUNTY .. TEXAS. FROM AN ''R-2" TO AN uR-311 ZONI DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS. WHEREAS. the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly pre sen ted to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendatio which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration~ the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be i the public interest; and~ WHEREAS, all conditions precedent r e quired by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 101lf, Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953~ an notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbo k,. Texas., at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing~ it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public inte rest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW,.. THEREFORE." BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows. to-wit: ZONE CASE NO •. 1128 Change a tract of land out of Section 3, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas, from an "R-211 to an "R-3" Zoning district. Said property is further described by metes and bounds to wit: BEGINNING at a point which is 485 feet South and 264 feet West of the Northeast Corner of the Northwest 1 I 4 of said Section 3, Block E; THENCE West 398 feet; THENCE North 130 feet; THENCE East 398 feet; THENCE South 130 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: 1. That property be used for apartments only. 2. That 1500 square feet of lot area be provided for each apartment unit. 3. That one paved off-street parking space be provided for each apartment unit. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordi- nance., said lots., tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accord CE herewith.
