No. 1695, Zone Case No 1115. - 06/27/1963AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO., 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY bF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1115: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF THE NE 1/4 OF SECTION 2, BLOCK E~ LUBBOCK COUNTY~ TEXAS., FROM AN 11R-1' TO A "C-411 ZONING DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made ha been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendatio • which was receiv~d by the City Commission and after due consideration., the City I Comm~ssion finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be inj the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with., as well as giving notices in complianc e with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 1011f, Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, a notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15) d~ys prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on su~h proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the second floor of the City Hall., Lubbo k., Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by t he City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest., due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official ~oning Map BE an the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 1115 Change a tract of land out of Section 2, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas, from an 11R-111 to a "C-411 zoning district; such property being further described by metes and bounds to-wit: BEGINNING at a point 598. 19 feet West and 287.89 feet South of the NE Corner of said Section 2, Block E .. Lubbock County~ Texas; THENCE South 75° 23t East a distance of 552. 26 feet to a point~ said point being in the West right-of-way line of Avenue A; THENCE Southwesterly on a curve to the right and along the said west right-of-way line of Avenue A, the curve bearing a radius of 2804.8 feet a chord distance of 233. 4 feet to a point; THENCE North 660 25 t 0411 West 545 feet, more or less .. to a point; /' THENCE North 23° 35t 54" East 128 feet~ more or less~ to the northwest corner of this tract, and the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance~ said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof sh be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith.
