AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
~OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING ~
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO,. 1111 : CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF
THE NW 1/4 OF SECTION 15 .. BLOCK B,. LUBBOCK COUNTY~ TEXAS~ FROM AN
11R-Z11 TO A 11C-211 ZONING DISTRICT: SUBJECT TO CONDITION.
WHEREAS., the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
I been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendatio
which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration~ the City
Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in
the public interest; and, ~ WHEREAS., all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment tJ
the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notice:
in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by
I Article 1011f.~ Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953., and notice was 1 duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen { 15} da 1s
prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed
amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the Cio/
Commission Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock .. Texas., at which I
time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and., after said hearing, it was by
the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to 11
changed conditions .. that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the
manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having
I been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THERE-
FORE.,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
I SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zonf~g Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follows~ to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1111
Change a tract of land out of the NW 1/4 of Section 15, Block B, Lubbock
County, Texas.
BEGINNING at a point 266 feet west of a concrete marker on the NW boundar
line of the Pacific and Santa Fe Railway R-0-W where it intersects the South '
boundary line of State Highway 29 0;
THENCE West along the South boundary line of said Highway 290, 122 .. 8 feet;
THENCE South 50 feet;
THENCE West 200 feet for the beginning and NE corner of the tract;
THENCE West 315t for the NW corner of the tract;

THENCE South 6301 more or less, to a point in the North boundary line of
the Pacific and Santa Fe ~-0-W;
THENCE in a NE direction along the North boundary line of the Pacific and
Santa Fe R-0-W 380 feet more or less to a point;
THENCE North 3901 more or less to the BEGINNING POINT of this tract.
from an "R-2" to a "C-2" zoning district. SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING
CONDITION:
That a ratio of 1 paved off-street parking space and 1500 square feet of ],ot
area be provided for each apartment unit.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordin-
ance, said lots_. tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be
changed to the zoning district indicated and the official map is amended in accor-
dance herewith.
-AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
