WHEREAS. after receiving the..xecommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission and after due notice and public hearing and all matters having been done and performed as required by Section 14-A of Zoning Ordinance 1695 of the City of Lubbock (said Ordinance being an Appendix to the Lubbock City Code) re- lating to Specific Use Permits~ the City Commission finds that due to changed conditions it would be expedient and in the interest of the public health1 safety~ morals, and general welfare to authorize the granting of a Specific Use Permit I as hereinafter set forth; and, WHEREAS6 this Ordinance affects the daily operation of the Planning and Zonin; Departments of the City of Lubbock# which creates an emergency; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. The Director of Planning of the City of Lubbock is authorized to issue a Specific Use Permit to the Aprijica.d:t in Zone Case No. 1073 ·in accordance ~with the recommendations and conditions imposed by the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the City Commission, provided said Applicant agrees to be bound by the terms of the Specific Use Permit, the granting of which is hereby made subject to compliance by said Applicant with all terms of said Specific Use Permit and further subject to all provisions of Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 of the City of Lubbock, including particularly but not limited to, Section 14-A thereof relating to Specific Use Permits. The specific use authorized by this ordinance is for professi'"" onal type office building pursuant to Section 14-A. 1-10 of the Zoning Ordinance and the property is located on the south side of 50th Street and about 250 feet w-est of Avenue W, being more particularly described as Lot 5 and the West 45.0 feet of ILot 4, Llano Vista Heights Addition~ City of Lubbock., Lubbock County, Texas. SECTION 2. The Specific Use Permit herein granted is further made subject to and conditional upon the maintaining and/ or erection of all signs, either presenti!Y being upon said property or to be erected on said property, according to the requir - ments of the "R-3" zoning regulations as provided by Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 of the City of Lubbock. SECTION 3. The City Secretary shall cause the publication of this Ordinance 1once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper regularly published in the City of Lubbock. SECTION 4. Since this Ordinance is an emergency measure for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereof, the rule requiring two readings before final passage is hereby suspended. and this ordinance shall take effect immediately after its passage.
