No 1695, Zone Case No 1079 - 02/28/1963• • ..DP.S;djl 2=-l3-6J=-....:=="""""""===="""""""==:a-======~~,::;..;)..,~,:;.J~Jo 3 o 3 -\ '+ -I~~ 3 0" 7'V\.,; 0 ORDINANCE NO. 4038 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1079: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OP'SECTIO 5, BLOCK B, LUBBOCK COUNTY~ TEXAS., FROM AN "R-211 AND 11M-2" ZONIN : DISTRICT TO AN "R-311 ZONING DISTRICT~ I WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendaliO , which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City I Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be i the public interest; and., WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully co,mplied with,. as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices I provided by Article 1011£, Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15} days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Com- lj mission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; I and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and th~ Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW~ THEREFORE., BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 1079 Change a tract of land out of Section 5. Block B, Lubbock County.~~ Texas~ from an 11R -211 and "M -211 zoning district to an "R -311 zoning district in accordance with the Urban Renewal Plan for the Coronado Urban Renewal Project. Said tract is further described by metes and bounds to-wit: BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of Lot 14, Block 14, Sieber Addition to the City of Lubbock_. Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE West along the North line of East 28th Street a distance of 200 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot 10, Block 14.~~ Sieber Addition; THENCE North along the East line of said Lpt 10 a distance of 140 feet to the Northeast corner of said Lot 10; THENCE West along an extension of and along the South line of the East-West alley in said. Block 14, Sieber Addition a distance of approximately 203 feet to its intersection with the Southwest line of Weber Avenue; THENCE North 39° 461 West along said Southwest line of Weber Avenue a distance of approximately 1630 feet to its intersection with the South line of a 30 foot easement; THENCE South 830 ost 05u West along the South line of said easement a distance of 240.24 feet to its intersection with the Northwest line of a 30 foot alley; THENCE South 20° 14t West along said Northwest line of said alley a distance of 135. 32 feet to its intersection with a line parallel to and 319.1 feet perpendicular distant from the Southwest line of Weber Avenue; THENCE South 39° 46' East along said line parallel to and 319.1 feet perpendicular distant from the Southwest line of Weber Avenue a distance of 2704.69 feet to its intersection with a line parallel to and 50 feet West of the West line of Quirt Avenue; THENCE North along said line 50 feet west of and parallel to the West line of Quirt Avenue a distance of 843. 54 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; SAVE AND EXCEPT the East-West alley in Block 15, Sieber Addition and East 28th Street between Blocks 14 and 15~ Sieber Addition. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance,. said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith.
