AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FIRE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK 00 AS TO
PLACE PROPERTY CHANGED IN ZONING CLASSD'ICATION -(ZONE CASE NOo 946 )
IN FIRE ZONE NOo 2; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND .F.FFECI'IVE DATE OF THIS
ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City ec-issioa finds that ill all zaue changes to the ncn ZCDe
Claasificatims that such property should be p4ced in Fire Z011e No. 2 u.edi-
ately to protect the lives, safety, aad property of the citizcs of the City of
Lubbock, which creates an eaergency; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECI'ION 1. THAT The following described property changed iD zone by ORDI-
NANCE NO. 3654 , to-vit:
BEGINNING at a point which bears west 1142 f eet and north 45 feet
from the southeast comer of Section 16, Block B, Lubbock County,
Texas;
THENCE north 150 feet;
THENCE west 150 feet to a point in the east line of Knoxville;
THENCE south along the east line of Knoxville Avenue, a distance of
135 feet to a pomt of curvature;
THENCE southeasterly around a curve to the left with radius of 15 feet,
delta angle of 90° and tangent length of 15 feet, a distance of 23.56
feet to a point of tangen.ce in the north line of 50th Street;
THENCE east along the north line of 50th Street a distance of 135
feet to the place of BEGINNJNG.
(Said property beiJlg located at the northeast comer of the intersection
of 50th Street and Knoxville Avenue).
BE AND THE SAME IS Hereby cbaD&ed and/or placed in fire tsCile No. 2 and the
"FIRE ZONE MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK" duplicate original located in the Build-
ing Inspector's office shall be amended in accordance herewith. by the BuildiDc
Inspector or at his direction, and this change shall c011stitute an am.eudmen:t to
Fire Zenina OrdJAance No. 1447 and Section 1601, Part IV, Chapter 16 of the
Lubbock City Code, relative to fire zc:nes.
SECTION 2. The rule requiring an ordinance to be read on two readings before
final passage is hereby suspended, aad this ordiumce is declared to be an ser-
ge:ncy. aeasure for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereof, to take effect
~iately after its passage.,
