\ STREET AND KNOXVILLE AVENUE AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRlBED IN af THE BODY OF TillS ORDINANCE,FROM AN "R-1" TO A "C-3" ZONING DISTRICT. ". I WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has ~
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda-
11 tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due cnnsideration11 the ~ City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will
be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS,. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with:a as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provided by Article lOllf,, Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutesa amended in 1953,.. II
and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than
fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the i:mblic-Jl.ea=rjiJ8g:befo.r.e....the.. City Commission
on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was
duly held in the Assembly Room of the Central Fire Station Building located at 503
Avenue Kin Lubbock •. Texas,. at which time persons appeared in support of the pro.,
posal; and,_ after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it
would be in the public interest.., due to chang.ed conditions• that the Zoning Ordi-
nance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the
body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance ha.ving been introduced in final written
form prior to first reading hereof; NOW JJ THEREFORE&
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSI.ON OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:

SECTION l,; THAT (i)rdinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO• 946
C hange . the following described propertya to-wit:
BEGINNING at point which bears West 1142 feet and North 45 feet
from the Southeast corner of Section 16• Block B, Lubbock Countyj
Texas;
THENCE North 150 feet;
THENCE West 150 feet to a point in the East line of Knoxville;
THENCE South a~ong the East line of Knoxville Avenue01 a distance
of 135 feet to a point of curvature;
THENCE Southeasterly around a curve to the left with radius of
15 feet., delta angle of 900 and tangent length of 15 feet1 a distance
of 23. 56 feet to a point of tangence in the North line of 50th Street;
THENCE East along the North line of 50th Street a distance of 135
feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
from an ~11R-1 11 to a 11C-3 11 zoning district. {Said property being
located at the Northeast corner of the intersection of 50th Street
and Knoxville Avenue).
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this
