CORNER OF THE INTER- SECTION OF 50TH STREET AND AVENUE A FROM AN 11 R-211 TO A 11C-411 ZONING DISTRICT. WHEREAS. the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the zoning and planning commission for its recommendatio , which was received by the city commission and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law'for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more tha fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly heH in the Assembly Room of the Central Fire Station Building, located at 503 Avenue Kin Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of th proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having bean introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 959 Change the following described property, to-wit: A Tract of land out of Survey Six (6), Block B, Lubbock County, Texas, and more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of Survey Six (6), Block B, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE East 133. 9 feet; THENCE North 20 feet to place of beginning and the South- west corner of this tract; THENCE North 225 feet; THENCE East 200 feet; THENCE South 65 feet; u THENCE West 50 feet; THENCE South 160 feet to the North boundary line of 50th Street; THENCE West along the Noi'th boundary line of 50th Street a distance of 150 feet to the place of beginning and being out of the Southwest corner of Tract 38, Suburban Homes Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, from an 11R·2" to a °C·411 zoning district. (Said property being located at the Northeast corner of the intersection of 50th Street and Avenue A). SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance, said lots, tracts and parcels of land describOd in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the fficial Map is amended in accordance herewith.
