AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE ~0. ltt9 AND THE,,
Amended by Ordinance No. 4304
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO.; 954: CHANGE THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PRO
PERTY BEING LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE INTERSEC-
TION OF 50TH STREET AND AVENUE "A" FROM A 11C-3" TO A "C .. 4" ZONING
DISTRlCT,; SUBJECT TO A CONDITION:
WHEREASa the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda ..
tion~ which was rec eived by the City Commission and after due consideration,
the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out
will be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied wit~ as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section ZO .o£ Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provided by Article 10llf~ Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953,
and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more
than fifteen ( 15) days prior to the date of t.b.e public hearing according to said no-
tice was duly held in the Assembly Room of the Central Fire Station Building,
located at 503 Avenue KIn Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in
support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission
determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that
the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter
set forth in the body of this Ordinance and 1bis .Ordinance having been idroduced
in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follow s# to--wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 954:
Change the following described property, to--wit:
BEGINNING at a point that is N. 89°592W. 619.9 feet and S.
0°Q1J W. 80 feet from the Northeast corner of Section Z# Block
E, Lubbock County, Texas,. ·_ ---1 for the Northwest corner
of this tract;
THENCE s. ooop W. 188.31 feet to a point;
THENCE s. 3705IJE. 31 •. 65 feet to a point;
THENCE s. 75°23' E. 552.. 26 feet to a point in the West right ...
of .. way line of Avenue A for the Southeast corner of this tract;
THENCE Northeasterly a r ound the arc of a curve to the left
having a radius of 2804.8 feet, a distance of 347.98 feet to a
point in the South right .. of .. way of 50th Street as recorded in
Volume 798, Page 154, deed records of Lubbock County, Texas,

THENCE N. 89°59t W • along said right ... of-way, a distance
of 591.21 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING•
from a "C-3" to a "C-411 .zoning district. (Said property
being located at the Southwest corner of the intersection
of 50th Street and Avenue A).
Subject to the following condition:
1. That a solid:~ six and one .. half foot screening fence be placed
along the south and west sides of this property, said fence to
conform to existing zoning regulations.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordi-
nance~ said lots, tracts and par cels of land de scribed in Section 1 hereof shall be
changed to the zoning district indicated and the Oficial Map is amended in accord-
ance herewith.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED
