IN SUB-UNIT NOS~· 64, 65, AND 66 OF UNIT NO~ 2077 OF PAVING ORDINANC~ I ~__, ftbvl NO. 3788 AS FINALLY PASSED ON APRIL 4, 1962; AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANC OF A NEW CERTIFICATE OF ASSESSMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY SECRET TO NOTE THE CHANGE MADE BY THIS ORDINANCE; AND DECLARING AN EME • GENCY AND THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE. WHEREAS., in Paragraph m of Ordinance No. 378,8 herein certain assess ... ments were made against named persons and property in certain stated amounts; said assessments indicating the persons and amounts by reference to the assess- ment rolls attached to and made a part of the said ordinance No. 3788. WHEREAS there were· certain errors contained in said assessment for street improvements; and, .. . ' WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 3788 provided in Paragraph IX thereof that any , errors contained therein could be corrected at any time by the City; and, 1). l WHEREAS., notice and hearing were duly made and had at the time and manner required by law and which notice was sufficient in all respects to give full notice to property owners of property abutting the portion of streets to be approved; and, WHEREAS, the power to correct errors in street improvements provided is authorized by Article 1105b, Vernonts Revised Civil Statutes of Texas; and, WHEREAS .. this Ordinance affects the daily operation of the paving sec- tion of the Engineering Department of the City of Lubbock which creates an emergency, requiring the suspension of all rules providing for the several readings of an ordinance before final passage thereof; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the assessment rolls.., referred to in Paragraph m of or- dinance No. 3788 and incorporated by reference therein, as finally passes by the City Commission on April 4_. 1962, be amended so as to change the various parts of the paving assessment rules for the Sub Units hereafter indicated which reads: Sub-Unit No. 64 of Unit No. 2077, East 36th Street from 141 West of the E. P. L. of Teak Avenue to 81 West of thew. P .. ' SECTION 4, Thi~ ordinance is hereby declared to an emergency measure j for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereof~ and the rule requiring two read- ings of an ordinance and this ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
