I AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING ® CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1070: CHANGE .LOTS 117 .. 118, BENDER TERRACE I ADDITION. LOT 1 .. PENDLEY ADDITION,. CITY OF LUBBOCK~ LUBBOCK COUNTY~ TEXAS• AND A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF BLOCK 12, ROLES ACRES I '1. I SUBDIVISION~ CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY~ TEXAS FROM AN "R-1 1 ~,..·~J I TO AN "R-3" ZONING DISTRICT. \"~ ~~ WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendatiJ , j which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be · j the public interest; and, ~ WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with .. as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices , provided by Article 101lf~ Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Com- mission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said 1• notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the second floor of the City I' Hall .. Lubbock, Texas .. at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; 1 and, after said hearing6 it was by the City Commission determined that it would ~ J be in the public interest~ due to changed' conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance andll the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW11 THEREFORE~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 10 70 Change Lots 117, 118, Bender Terrace Addition, Lot 1, Pendley Addition, City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and a tract of land out of Block 12, Roles Acres Subdivision, City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas. The tract of land out of Block 12, said Roles Acres Subdivision is further described by metes and bounds to-wit: BEGINNING at a point at the Northeast corner of Lot 117, Bender Terrace Addition in the West Right-of-way line of Quaker Avenue; THENCE North along the West Right-of-Way of Quaker Avenue approximately 215 feet to the Southeast corner Lot 118, Bender Terrace Add1tion; . / THENCE West along the South line of Lot 118 Bender Terrace Addition approximately 137 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 118, Bender Terrace Addition and to a point in the East line of a North -South alley; THENCE South along the East line of a North-South alley approxi- mately 215 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 117, Bender Terrace Addition; THENCE East along the North line of Lot 117, Bender Terrace Addition approximately 137 feet to a Point in the West line of Quaker Avenue, which is the PLACE OF BEGINNING. from an "H -1" to an "R-3" zoning district. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance, said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith.
