I STREET IN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS AS MORE PARTICULARLY DE-
SCRffiED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE: AND Dffi.ECTING THE CITY EN-
GINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK TO IN-I DICATE THE CLOSING AND ABANDONING OF SAID FOR TION OF EAST 37TH I
STREET AS AFORESAID ..
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that a certain portion of East 37th
Street as hereinafter more particularly described is no longer needed for street
~ purposes or for public use; and
WHEREAS. the City Commission find it would be to the public interest to
close~ vacate and abandon same for street purposes and to public use; NOW
THEREFORE-»
BE IT OR.QAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
I SECTION 1. THAT a certain part of East 37th Street as hereafter de-
scribed shall be and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for alley
~ purposes and for public use, mid portion or tract of land being more particularly
II described as follow, to-wit:
I A parcel of land out of Section 4, Block B .. Lubbock County, Texas, more
fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point, said point being 29 59. 2 feet West and 117 7. 3 feet
South of the Northeast corner of Section 4, Block B, Lubbock County,
Texas, said point of beginning being also described as being 11.0 feet
North of the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 1 in the Producers Grain
Addition to the City of Lubbock;
THENCE South a distance of 11.0 feet to a point;
THENCE West a distance of 350.0 feet to a point;
THENCE North a distance of 11. 0 feet to a point;
THENCE East a distance of 350.0 feet to the point of BEGINNING.
SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to
~ mark the official map of the City of Lubbock to indicate that the street as des-
cribed in Section 1 hereof, has been closed and abandoned, showing the number
of this ordinance and the date of its final passage.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED
