ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, AS MORE '-'<5:, , . PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE: AND DIRECT <.J ,;_: ING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF
" LUBBOCK TO INDICATE THE CLOSING AND ABANDONMENT OF SAID PORTION
\\ OF BATES STREET, LINDEN AVENUE, AND THE ALLEY AS AFORESAID. I
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that a portion of Bates Street, Linde
Avenue, and the Alley, as hereinafter more particularly described is no longer
needed for street purposes or for public use, and the alley is no longer needee for
alley purposes or for public use; and, ·
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds it would be to the public interest to
close, vacate and abandon same for street and alley purposes and to public use;
NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION l. THAT a portion of Bates Street, Linden Avenue, and the alley,
as hereinafter described, shall BE and the same is hereby closed, vacated and
abandoned for street and alley p urposes and for public use; aaid tract of land being
particul~.rly described as follows, to•wit: '
BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot 10, Block 3, Gordon
Bozeman Addition;

THENCE South 99.75 feet to a point in Northeasterly right of way
line of Loop 289;
THENCE North 40°42t West a distance of 76. 6 feet to a point;
THENCE North 41. 05 feet to a point which is the Northeast corner
of Lot 8, Block 4, Gordon Bozeman Addition;
THENCE West 32. 83 feet to a point;
THENCE Southwesterly along alley line 2. 10 feet to a point in the
right of way line of Loop 289;
THENCE North 40°42' West a distance of 10. 78 feet to point of curve;
THENCE Northwesterly on a curve to the right having a radius of 125
feet a distance of 4. 22 feet to a point in Lot 1, Block 4, Gordop. Boze-
man Addition;
THENCE Northeasterly along the South side of said lot line a distance
of 8. 29 feet to a point;
THENCE Northwesterly along said Lot 1, Block 4, a distance of 33. 13
to a point in right of way line of Loop 289; '
THENCE Northerly on a curve to the right havi.ng a radius of 125 feet

SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to
mark the official map of the City of Lubbock to indicate that the portion of
street and alley described in Section 1 hereof• has baen closed and abandoned•
showing the number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage.
