AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE NORTH-SOUTH ALLEY
BETWEEN LOTS 182 AND 183, LEFTWICH MONTEREY HEIGHTS ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK# AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE
BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE;AND DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK
THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK TO INDICATE THE CLOSING
AND ABANDONING OF SAID ALLEY AS AFORESAID,.·
d .,.,{;3 WHEREAS#' the City Commission finds that the North-South alley between
\-' ~ ' lots 182 and 183 .. Leftwich Monterey Heights Addition to the City of Lubbock> f ! as hereinafter more particularly described, it is no longer needed for alley· {_'£/ 7 purposes or for public use; and \~ '~ WHEREAS,· the City Commission finds that it would be to the public interest
()/ to close, vacate and abandon said alley for alley purposes and public use; NOW
1-THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1: THAT the North-South alley as hereafter described shall be
and the ·same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for alley purposes and
for public use .. said North-South alley being more particularly described as
follows, to-wit:
A parcel of land out of Section 7, Block E2, Lubbock Courty, Texas,
more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of Lot 183, Leftwich Monterey
Heights Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; ..
THENCE West 20 feet to a point, said point being the South~a!st corner
of Lot 182 of said Leftwich Monterey Heights Addition;
THENCE North along the East line of said Lot 182 a distance of 115. 0
feet to a point;
THENCE North 45° 0' West a distance of 14. 14 feet to a point in the
North line of said Lot 182;
THENCE East a distance of 47. 11 feet to a point in the North line
of said Lot 183;
THENCE South 45° West a distance of 17. 1 feet to a point in the West
line of said Lot 183;
THENCE South along the West line of said Lot 183 a distance of 107.89
feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING •.
SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to
mark the official map of the City of Lubbock to indicate that the alley as describe
in Section 1 hereof has been closed and abandoned~ showing the number of this
ordinance and the date of its final passage.
