No 1695, Zone Case No 1057. - 01/10/19631 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 169 5 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NQ.. 1057: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF AN ORIGINAL TRACT OF LAND OUT OF AND BEING A PART OF SECTION 6~ BLOC E-2~ B & B CERTIFICATE 60~ LUBBOCK COUNTY,. TEXAS~ FROM AN "R-111 TO AN "M-111 ZONING DISTRICT. ~ WHEREAS~ the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter ma'de has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendatio~ which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City (,,~ ~Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be \I) j in the public interest; and~ 1~ WHEREAS~ all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to \ U the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with~ as well as giving I \ 1 notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article lOllf, Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953~ and, v lnotice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than 1 fifteen ( 15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission ~ !on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was II duly held in the City Commission Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubboc~ .. Texas. at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and .. after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions. that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: j' SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE ,and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 1057 Change a tract of land out of an original tract of land out of and being a part of Section 6~ -Block E-2, B & B Certificate 60, Lubbock County, Texas, fr.om an "R-lrr to an uM-111 zoning district. Property is further described by metes and bounds to-wit: BEGINNING in the West line of said Section 6, 2, 410. 3 feet South of its Northwest corner, a point in the center of a public road and in line with a fence to the East; THENCE N. 89° 451 E with fence line 829.9 feet to fence corner; THENCE s. 54° 54r W with fence line 147. 5 feet to fence corner; THENCE s. uO 47r E. with fence line 313 feet to a point in the North right-of-way lire of the P & SF Railroad; THENCE S. 53° 531 W with said right-of-way line 9 57 feet to a point in the West line of said Section 6 and in the center of a public road; THENCE N. with the West line of Section 6, 951. 7 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. Said original tract containing 11. 66 acres of land, more or less; SAVE AND EXCEPT 1. 491 acres of land previously conveyed to the City of Lubbock, Texas~ for right-of-way purposes off of the West and Southwest side of said Original tract, leaving 10 acres, more or less. (Property is located in the vicinity of Brownfield Road and Frankford Avenue.) SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance, said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended ~n accordance herewith. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
