No 1695-Zone Case No. 1053. - 11/20/1962/ u ~.0-J ~Jo ... ~­~~-0~-\~ l~i;L.~--==-=t== ORDINANCE NO. 3961 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1053 : CHANGE LOT 10,. ZORA ADDITION TO THE1 CITY OF LUBBOCK AND A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF SECTION 17. BLOCK B, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS. FROM AN "R-1" TO AN "R-3" ZONING DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the proposed ;change in zoning districts as hereinafter mad e has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommen dation, which was received by the City Commission and after due consid eration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article lOllf, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lub'bock Morning Avalanche Journal more th fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commis sio on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lub- 'bock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW, THEREFORE .. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 1053 Change Lot 10, Zora Addition to the City of Lubbock and a tract of land out of Section 17, Block B, Lubbock County, Texas, from an "R-1" to an uR.-3" zoning district. Said property is further described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of the Pendley Addition, said point being North 0°01'2011 East 351. 5 feet and South 89°54130u West 367 feet from the Southeast corner of the Northeast 1 I 4 of Section 17> Block B, Lubbock County~ Texas; THENCE South ooett2011 West along the West line of said Pendley Addition, at 117. 17 feet pass the Southwest corner of said Pendley Addition continuing for a total of 194. 53 feet to the Northeast corner of Zora Addition; THENCE South 89°54'3011 West along the North line of Zora Addition, 342. 3 feet to a bend in alley; THENCE North 36°05'5011 West 119. 37 feet to the most Northerly corner of Zora Addition; THENCE North 53°541 East along Brownfield Drive, 509. 64 feet, more or less~ to the Northeast corner of this tract; THENCE South 0°01 '2011 West 202.12 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. (Said property is located in the vicinity of Brownfield Drive and 26th Street.) SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance. said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith.
