fP]j,:t., AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE /t• OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1043: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF SECTION
15~ BLOCK B~ LUBBOCK COUNTY~ TEXAS FROM "R-1" TO "R-3" ZONING
DISTRICT j SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS:
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendatio "
which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration~ the City
Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be
in the public interest; and"
WHEREAS., all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 169 5 as well as notices
I. provided by Article lOllf~ Vernon1s Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953~
~ and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more
than fifteen ( 15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City
Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to
said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the second floor of the
City Hall, Lubbock, Texas~ at which time persons appeared in support of the
proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined

that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning
Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth
in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final
written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW. THEREFORE,
I. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:

SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follows1 to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1043
Change a tract of land out of Section 15~ Block B, Lubbock County~ Texas~
further described by metes and bounds as follows~ to-wit:
BEGINNING 632 feet east and 1980 feet north of the Southwest Corner
of Section 15# Block B, Lubbock County~ Texas;
THENCE West 400 feet;
THENCE South 154. 5 feet;'
THENCE East 400 feet;
THENCE North 154. 5 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING~
(Said property is located in the vicinity of 28th Street and Quaker
Avenue.)

from trR-1!~ to nR-3" zoning district, SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION~:
1. uThat the City of Lubbock shall have the right to use any parking area
or drives for a c cess to provide refuse collection service. Refuse collection
service will be provided by the City only when the owners have obtained adequate
City approved ttDumpmaster" type containers.n
2. uThat the alley south of the property be paved with concrete."
3. That such area be dev eloped accoriiing to site plan on file in office
of Secretary of Planning and Zoning Commission. which is hereby adopte d.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this
Ordinance~ said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof
shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended
in accordance herewith ..
AND IT IS SO ORDERED
