No 1695: Zone Case No 1037 - 09/27/1962.... 11?·?1 ... ~ ' ORDINANCE NO. 3931 ---~-- AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1037: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF SECTIO 7,. BLOCK E .... 2., LUBBOCK CDUNTY. TEXAS FROM A "R ... l" TO A 11R~"ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS. II WHEREAS,. the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendatidn,. which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration,. the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and. WHEREAS,. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with~ as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 1011f,. Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes,. amended in 1953,. and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing accoriling to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the seoond floor of the City Hall, Lubboc~. Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance haring been introduced 1n final' written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to ... wit: ZONE CASE NO. 1037 Change a tract of land out of Section 7, Block E ... 2, Lubbock County, Texas from an nR,..1 11 to an nR-3n zoning district. Said property is described by metes and bounds as follows: BEING LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS the East 1/2 of the South l/2 of the North 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest l/4 of Section 7, Block E-2 of the County of Lubbock,. Lubbock, Texas containing approximately five acres. (Said property is located in the vicinity of Gary A venue and 60th Street.) SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: THAT~ THE PROPERTY BE DEVELOPED FOR A BOYlS CLUB ONLY. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinanc ~ said lots~ tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith.
