J ORDINANCE NO. 3927 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 169 5 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1014: CHANGE PART OF BLOCK TWO (2).. JOHN W. JARROTT SUBDIVISION, OF THE NORTHWEST ONE-FOURTH {1/4) OF SECTION FIFTEEN (15)~ BLOCK B. LUBBOCK COUNTY:. TEXAS FROM AN "R-2" TO A "C-411 ZONING DISTRICT: SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS. II """- ' WHEREAS. the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendation# which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and~ WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article lOllf, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Moril.ing Avalanche Journal more than fifteen ( 15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was I duly held in the City Commission Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubboc , Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: til SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amencted as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 1014 Change that part of Block Two (2). John W. Jarratt Subdivision of the Northwest! One-Fourth (NW, 1/4) of Section Fifteen {15), Block B, Lubbock County, Texas .. described by metes and bounds as follows: 1 BEGINNING At a point 257. 5 feet North of the Southeast Corner of said Block 2~ for the beginning corner of this tract; THENCE West a distance of 130 feet to a point for its Southwest corner; THENCE North a distance of approximately 160 feet to the existing South "C-411 zoning line as heretofore established by the City of Lubbock .. Texas, in said Block 2; I THENCE East a distance of 130 feet along said zoning line to the East line of Block 2; THENCE South a distance of approximately 160 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. from an "R ... 2tr to a HC-411 zoning district. (Said property is located on tl'le West side of Nashville Avenue at 20th Street.) SUBJECT TO THE FOLLON lNG CONDIT!ONS: THAT~ THE PROPERTY BE DEVELOPED IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE PLAN AS PROPOSED~ SAlD PLAN BEING ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF THE ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinanc 1 said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be ·changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith.
