OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY 'OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOW-
ING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 987: CHANGE CERTAIN DESCRIBED PROPER-
TY BEING LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF 34TH STREET IN THE 5000 ·-
BLOCK FROM AN "R-311 TO A 11C-3'' ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO THE
FOLLOWING CONDITION: THAT THE PROPERTY SHALL BE DEVELOPED IN
CONFORMANCE WITH THE PLAN AS PROPOSED~ SAID PLAN BEING ON FILE
IN THE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF PLANNING AND ZONJNG COMMIS-
SION.·
WHEREAS,. the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda-
tion., which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration., the
City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will
be in the. public interest; and.,
WHEREAS., all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 30 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provideq. by Article lOllf,, Vernon1s Annotated Civil Statutes~ amended in 1953.,
and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more
than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Com-
mission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said
notice was duly held in the Assembly Room of the Central Fire Station Building,
, located at 503 Avenue Kin Lubbock., Texas, at which time persons appeared in
support of the proposal; and, after said hearing it was by the City Commission
determined that it would be in the public interest1 due to changed conditions, that
the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter
set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced im
final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE No.· 987
Change the following described property.~ to-wit:
A tract of land out of Section 171 Block B., Lubbock County, Texas.,
being described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which bears N0°01ll011., West., 50 feet and
North 8905St5011 East.~ ~01. 26 feet from the Southwest corner of
Section 171t Block B.:~ Lubbock CountY., Texas;
THENCE NVQ'bl.•.ld'west a distance of 125 feet;
THENCE North 89°581 5011 East a distance of 256. 37 feet;
THENCE South 36°0514011 East a distance of 7. 23 feet to a
point of curvature;
THENCE Southeasterly around a curve to the right., with a
radius of 75 feet~ a tangent of 147~ 49 feet, a delta angle of
126o05l3011 a distance of 165.05 feet to a point of tangency;
THENCE South 89°58150" West a distance of 200 feet to the PLACE
OF BEGINNING.· (Vicinity of 34th Street and 29th Drive)
from an "R-311 to a "C-311 zoning district., subject to the following
condition:
1. That the property shall be developed in conformance with the
plan as prop.ci>sed., said plan being on file in the office of the Secre-
tary of Planning and Zoning Com mission.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordi-
nance, said lots1 tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall
be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in
accordance herewith.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED
