AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF SALIS ...
. BURY AVENUE~ LYING NORTH OF 32ND STREET IN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK
AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE;
AND DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE
CITY OF LUBBOCK TO INDICATE THE CLOSING AND ABANDONMENT OF
SAID PORTION OF SALISBURY AVENUE AS AFORESAID.
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that a portion of Salisbury Avenue,
as hereinafter more particularly described is no longer needed for street pur ...
poses or for public use; and,
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds it would be tothe public interest
to close, vacate and abandon same for street purposes and to public use; NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT a portion of Salisbury Avenue. as hereinafter descri-
bed, shall BE and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for street
purposes and for public use; said tract of land being particularly described as
follows, to-wit:
A parcel of land out of Walden Subdivision a subdivision of
the City of Lubbock, Texas, and being a portion of Salisbury
Avenue; more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot 8, mock 1,
Walden Subdivision;
THENCE South along the West line of said Lot 8, Block 1,
a distance of 106. 70 feet to a point;
THENCE Northwesterly on a curve to the left having a 50
foot radius a distance of 26. 18 feet to a point;
THENCE North a distance of 100 feet to a point;
THENCE West 25 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed
to mark the official map of the City of Lubbock to indicate that the portion of
Salisbury Avenue as described in Section 1 hereof, has been closed and abandone
showing the number of this Ordinance.
