AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 980 : CHANGE PROPERTY BEING LOCATED ON
THE WEST SIDE OF SLIDE ROAD AT 48TH STREET FROM AN 11R-1" TO AN
"R-3" ZONING DISTRICT,. SUBJECT TO A CONDITION:
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as herein:iter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda-
tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration., the
City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out
will be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, aU conditions precedent required by law for a valid amend-
ment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as
giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as
notices provided by Article 10llf, Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes, amended
in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubboc~, Morning Avalanche Journal
more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City
Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing acq.ording to
said notice was duly held in the Assembly Room of the Central Fire sf-ation Build
I ing, located at 503 Avenue Kin Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared
in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission
I determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that I
the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter
set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introdJ.Uced
in final written form prior to first reading ::hereof; NOW#' THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE
and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:

Change the following described property, to-wit:
BEGINNING at a point which bears North 527. 5 feet from the South-
east corner of Section 9, Block E-2 .. Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE West 140 feet;
THENCE North 770 West a distance of 365 feet;
THENCE West 1 20 feet;
THENEE North 312 feet;
THENCE East 120 feet;

THENCE South 77° East a distance of 321. 67 feet;
THENCE East 182. 23 feet;
THENCE South 321.75 feet t o the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
from an 11R-1 11 to an 11R-311 zoning di strict. (Said property being
located on the West side of Slide Road at 48th Street}.
Subject to the condition THAT the development of the property
shall conform with the development plan submitted by the pro-
ponents, and on file with the official Minute Exhibits in the
office of the Secretary of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordi
nance1 said lots, tracts and parcels of land desc ribed in Section 1 hereof shall be
changed to the zoning district indicated and the OffiCial Map is amended in
a ccordance herewith.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
