AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY .OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 969 : CHANGE PROPERTY BEING LOCATED AT
THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF 45TH STREET AND
AVENUE P FROM AN 11R-211 TO AN "R-3" ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO A
CONDITION.
WHEREAS~ the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made
has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommen
dation, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration,
the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out
will be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS,. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amend-
ment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as
giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as
notices provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in
1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal
more than fifteen {15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City
Commission on such proposed amendment., and the public hearing according to
said notice was duly held in the Assembly Room of the Central Fire Station Build-
ing, located at 503 Avenue Kin Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared
in support of the plioposal; and. after said hearing, it was by the City Commissio
determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that
the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter
set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced
' in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW1 THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE
and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 9 6 9
Change the following described property, to-wit:

BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot' 22, Armstrong-
Alldredge Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County,
Texas;
THENCE East 150 feet to a point in the West right-of-way
line of A venue P;
THENCE South along the West right-of-way line of Avenue P
142 feet to a point in the North right-of-way line of 45th Street;
THENCE West along the North right-of-way line of 45th Street
150 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 22, Armstrong-Alldredge
Addition; ·
THENCE North 142 feet to the point of BEGINNING.
from an "R-2u to a.n: "R-311 zoning district. (Said property
being located at the Northwest corner of the intersection of
45th Street and A venue P).
Subject to the following condition:
1. That the development placed upon this property shall be a
new, single stcr y apartment project~ as proposed.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and efiective date of this Ordi-
nance, said lots. tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be
changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accord-'
ance herewith.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED
