AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDI.NANCE NO.Jq6Jf .AJBtq.J..m
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 933 : CHANGE PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE
2100 BLOCK OF 51ST STREET FROM AN "R-1" TO AN 11R-211 ZONING DIS'IRICT.
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda-
tion~ which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the '
City Commission finds thatmaking the proposed change as hereinafter set out will
be in theopublic inter est; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment1o
the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953,
and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than
fifteen {15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission
on such proposed amendment, and the public hearirgaccording to said notice was d ly
held in the Assembly Room of the Central Fire Station Building, located at 503
Avenue Kin Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the
proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by tae City Commission determined that
it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordina CE
and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of I
this Ordinance and this Ordinance havine been introduced in final written form pri !r v
to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE: 1
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follows, te-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 933
Change the following described property, to-wit:
Being a tract of land out bf the Northwest quarter of Section
3, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas;
BEGINNING at the Northeast corner bf the Northwest quarter
of Section 3, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE South 355 feet and West 25 feet for the Northeast
corner of this tract;
THENCE South 130 feet;
THENCE West 63 feet;
THENCE North 130 feet;
THENCE East 63 feet to the Northeast corner of this tract,
from an'I.R-111 to an "R-2'1 zoning district. (Said property being
located in the 2100 Block of 51st Street.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effecti~e date of this Ordinan et
said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be change :
to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance
her.;ewith.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED
Passed by the Commission on first reading this 28th day of September
1961.
