Zone Case 925 - 07/13/1961..JMG: c t 0-=f-l~-\Q lOI" -==~~==========================================~==~~==~~==~ ~ ~ ~ ':-' O~DjNANCE NO. 3534 /1., P' & 1 ()f)-J0-jqlJJf AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO• 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOW- ING CHANGE: ZONE CASE N0• 925: CHANGE CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF EAST 19TH STREET AND GUAVA AVENUE FROM AN "R-111 TOAN "R-3" ZONING DISTRICT AND FROM AN 11R-111 TO A "C-311 ~ONING DISTRICT AS HEREINAFTER DES- CRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendatio • which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration. the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS. all conditions precedent required by law fo:r a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 1011£• Vernon1s Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 19531 and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Com- mission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the Assembly Room of the Central Fire Station Building• located at 503 Avenue Kin Lubbock. Texas, at which time persons appeared in support.of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions~ that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this 0Tdinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof~ NOW,. THEREFORE• BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT ORdinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are here:Py amended as follows• to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 925: Change Lots 120, 121• 1381 and 147, Buenas Casas Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock Countyt Texas. from an 11R-1 11 to an''R.-311 zoning district and change the following described property# to-wit: BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of Lot 156, Buenas Casas Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County:. Texas; THENCE North 428.8 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 101 of said addition; THENCE North 89°5913011 East 387.28 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 114 of said addition; THENCE Southeasterly along the rear lot lines of Lots 115, 116, 117 118, 119 and 139 to the most easterly Northeast corner of Lot 139 of said addition; . a'HENCE South oooot3o't East 211. 38 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot 146 of said Addition; THENCE South 89059'3011 West 600 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. .J shall be changed from an uR-1'' to a uC-311 zoning district. (Said property being located at the Northeast corner of the intersection of East 19th Street and Guava Avenue) • SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordi- nance• said.Jots1 tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accord- ance herewith.
