No. 6714 ~ Q:t-l 3-l9U~ ORDINANCE NO. -3s3I' . 1· n.-t,. r v ace-\0-Tqll l AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND tHE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 923 : CHANGE LOTS 13 THROUGH 20 INCLUSIVE BLOCK 1, HOBGOOD ADDITION Tt'5' THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUN , TEXAS, FROM AN "R-111 TO A "C-2'1 ZONING DISTRICT. (SAID PROPERTY BEING LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF 35TH STREET IN THE 36})'}) BLOCK). SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS: WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda- tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that maki~g the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and, 1 WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Sec:ti.on 20 f>f Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen {15) days p11ior to the date of the public hearing before the City Com- mission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the Assembly Room of the Central Fire Station Building, located at 503 Avenue Kin Lub~ock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION j:. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 923 Change Lots 13 through 20 inclusive, Block 1, Hobgood Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, from an 11R-l" to a 11C-211 zoning district. (Said property being located on the North side of 35th Street in the 3600 Block). Subject to the following Conditions: 1. That the property be replatted on connection with the property adjacent to 34th Street in order to give lots with frontage on 34th Street only. 2. That a screening fence be constructed on the South portion of this property, and on the West portion. of the property South of the existing alley. Planting shall be placed outside and adjacent to this fence. Said fence and planting shall be as that existing North of 35th Street between Indiana Avenue alid Joliet Avenue, and the fence shall be constructed so as to provide for the planting area on the street side and provide for iJight clearance at each street inter- section. 3. That the service area be paved .with an asphaltic hard-top surface. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date o£ this Ordinance said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith. AND IT IS SO ORDERED Passed by the Commission on first reading this 13th day of July 1961. Passed by the Commission on second reading this lOth day of 1961.
