AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING PORTIONS OF ALLEY �`
RIGHT-OF-WAY ABUTTING , BLOCK 11, COUNTRY CLUB ADDITION, AN ��
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, WHICH IS ��
MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE; -�
DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS OF THE CITY TO �
REFLECT SAID ABANDONMENT AND CLOSING; PROVIDING A SAVINGS �
CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. �

WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the right-of-way hereinafter described in the �
body of this Ordinance is no longer needed for right-of-way purposes and for public use; and �
it would be in the public interest to close, vacate and abandon the same for right-of-way �.
purposes and for public use; NOW THEREFORE: �
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the right-of-way as hereinafter described shall BE and the same
is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for right-of-way purposes and for public use, such
right-of-way being more particularly described in the attached Exhibit "A".
S�CTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark the
official maps of the City of Lubbock to reflect said abandonment and closing, showing the
number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage.
SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word
of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this
Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized
and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative
method provided by law.

A PROPOSED ALLEY RIGHT-OF-WAY ABANDONMENT
LOCATED IN SECTION 15, BLOCK A,
T.T. RR. CO. SURVEY, ABSTRACT No. 15,
LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS
(Sheet 2 of 2, Exhibit attached as Sheet 1)
A proposed right-of-way abandonment located in Section 15, Block A, T.T. RR. Co. Survey,
Abstract No. 15, Lubbock County, Texas, and situated within Block 11, Country Club Addition,
an addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, according to the map, plat and/or
dedication deed thereof recorded in Volume 155, Page 247 of the Deed Records of Lubbock
County, Texas, said right-of-way conta.ins 0.1212 acres (5,278 SF) of land being further described
by metes and bounds as follows:
1) BEGINNING at a 1/2" iron rod with cap marked "PARKHILL RPLS 6453" found in the west
right-of-way line of North Avenue J, dedicated with the plat of said Country Club Addition, same
being the northeast corner of Lot 24, said Block 11 and the southeast corner of this abandonment,
having coordinates of Northing: 7,284,859.93 and Easting: 949,726.61 of the Texas Coordinate
System of 1983 (2011), Texas North Central Zone, whence a 1/2" iron rod and cap found at the
northeast corner of Lot 1, said Block 11 bears N. O1° 56' 42" E. a distance of 139.00 feet, said
northeast corner having coordinates of Northing: 7,284,998.82 and Easting 949,731.32 of the
Texas Coordinate System of 1983 (2011), Texas North Central Zone;
2) THENCE N. 88° 10' 38" W., along the north boundary of Lots 17-24, said Block 11, a distance
of 356.26 feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap marked "PARKHILL RPLS 6453" found in the east
right-of-way line of North Avenue Q, dedicated in Volume 511, Page 240 of the Deed Records of
Lubbock County, Texas, for the Southwest corner of this abandonment;
3) THENCE N. 32° 12' O1" E. a distance of 17.39 feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap marked
"PARKHILL RPLS 6453" found at a point of intersection in the south boundary of Lot 7, said
Block 1 l, having coordinates of Northing: 7,284,885.97 and Easting: 949,379.87 of the Texas
Coordinate System of 1983 (2011), Texas North Central Zone for the northwest corner of this
abandonment;
4) THENCE S. 88° 10' 38" E., along the south boundary of Lots 1— 7, said Block 11, a distance
of 347.50 feet to a 1/2" iron rod found at a point of intersection in the west line of said North
Avenue J, for the southeast corner of said Lot 1, and the northeast corner of this abandonment;
THENCE S. O1 ° 56' 42" W., a distance of 15.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Bearings
and coordinates are relative to the Texas Coordinate System of 1983 (2011), Texas North Central
Zone, as determined by a point of origin located at Northing: 7,284,937.02 and Easting:
949,725.69. The convergence angle to True North is (-) O 1° 49' 31.19" and the combined scale
factor is 0.999770307. Distances are at surface, in U.S. Survey feet.
