AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND T
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CII'Y OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOW-
ING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 919 : CHANGE CERTAIN PROPERTY LO-
CATED AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF 50TH STREET AND AVENUE U
FROM AN 11R-111 TOAN 11R-3" ZONING DISTRICT.
WHE.REAS~ the propo'sed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made
has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommen
dation, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration,
the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out
will be in the public interest; and7
WHEREAS• all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with. as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section ZO of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provided by Article 1011£~ Vernonts Annotated . Civil Statutes, amended in 1953,
and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more
than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Com-
mission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said
notice was duly held in the Assembly Room of the Central Fire Station Building,
located at 503 Avenue Kin Lubbock, Texas~ at which time persons appeared in
support of the proposal; an~ after said hearin~ it was by the City Commission
determmed that it would be in the public interest; due to changed conditions~ that
the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner he.:reinafter
set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced
in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW* THEREFORE.~
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE arid
the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 919
BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of Lot 4~ Block 30~
Crump Five Acre Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock
County~ Texas$ for the Southeast and beginning corner of
this tractj
THIJNCE West along the South line of said Lot 4,_ a distance
of 510 feet to a point for the Southwest cornerof this tract;
THENCE North 12.7. 5 feet to the South line of a dedicated alley
for the Northwest corner of this tract;
THENCE East 510 feet to the East line of said Lot 4 for the
Northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE South 12.7. 5 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING,
from an 11R-1 tt to a 11R-311 zoning district. (Said property being
located at the Northwest corner of 50th Street and Avenue U).
"'-../. SECTION 2.. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordi-
nance~ said lots~ tracts and parcels of land de scribed in Section 1 hereof shall
be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in
accordance herewith.
