FROM AN "R-111 JI'O.;.AN 11R-311 ZONING DISTRICT. WHEREAS. the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda- tion• which was received by the City Commission and after due consideratio~ the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and~ WHEREAS.,. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied· wit~ as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article lOll£~ Vernon1s Annotated Civil Statutes• amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more thar fifteen {15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment• and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the Assembly Room of the Central Fire Station ·Building,. located at 503 Avenue K., in Lubbock, Texas,. at which time persons appeamdi:n support of the proposal; and.: after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest-. due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body _of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereofj NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSLON OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No .. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows,. to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 900 Change the following described property~ to-wit: A six (6) acre tract of land out of Section lla Block B111 Lubbock County, Texasa described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point which bears East 13. 45 feet from the Southeast corner of Lot 76,. Bobalet Heights Addition to the / City of Lubbock; THENCE South 80491 East in the East line of a previously dedicated street,, a distance of 2 79. 23 feet to a paint.; THENCE South to 0001125" East~ a distance of 131.47 feet to a point; · THENCE South 89°5815511 East •. a distance of 627. 07 feet to a point; THENCE 000112511 West, a distance of 407.42 feet to a point; THENCE North 89o5st5511 West a distance of 669. 87 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. from an "R-111 to an 11R-311 zoning district. (Said property being located on the East side of York Avenue in the 2600 Block h SECTION 2.. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordi- nance• said lots~ tracts and parcels of land deecribed in Section l hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official M~p is amended in accor- dance herewith.
