"~ AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE 10 MONTH TIME LIMIT CONDITION
CONTAINED IN ORDINANCE NO. 2899 FOR ANO-THER 10 MONTHS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the ten month time limit condition set forth as condition for zone
change No. {1} in Section 1 Ordinance No. 2899 is hereby extended for another
ten months,. to-wit from July 10,.1960 to a new time limit date of May 10" 1961.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND TF!B i
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 903 : CHANGE CERTAIN PROPERTY BEING THE
RIGHT-OF-WAY OF THE CLOVIS BRANCH OF THE PANHANDLE AND SANTA
FE RAILWAY LYING BETWEEN COLLEGE AVENUE AND LOOP 289 FROM AN 1
11R-l'' TO AN "M-2" ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CON-
'"Ut>lTION: THAT THE PORTION OF THIS PROPERTY SOUTH OF THE CENTER-
LINE OF THE RAILROAD TRACKS SHALL NOT BE DEVELOPED WITH ANY USE
PERMITTED IN THE "M-211 ZONING DISTRICT, SAVE AND EXCEPT SipNS TO !
IDENTIFY THE BUSINESSES AND FIRMS LOCATED NORTH OF THE CENTER-f
LINE OF THE RAILROAD TRACKS. I
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has j1 been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendati ,
which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City
Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be i
the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent requ·ired by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, I
and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more tha
fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission;
on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to sai<;:l notice was
duly held in the Assembly Room of the Central Fire Sf ation Building, located at
503 Avenue Kin Lubbock, Texas, at which time persdns appeared in support of
the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined
that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditin&.p,that the Zoning
Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in
the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final
written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
the same are here by amended as follows, to•wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 903
Change the following described property, to-wit:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the North right-of-
way line of the Clovis Branch of the Panhandle &:: Santa
Fe Railway and the West line of CoUegeAvenue, in the
City of Lubbock, Lubt>ock County, Texas;
THENCE Northwesterly along the North property line of
the said Panhandle &:: Santa Fe Railway a distance of 7230
feet, more or less, to a point in the East right-of-way
line for Highway Loop 289;
THENCE along the East right-of-way line of Loop 289 a
distance of 115.5 feet to a point in the South right-of-way
line of the Panhandle &:: Santa Fe Railway;
