HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 3399-1961 - Amending Zoning Ordinance 1695 Official Map Of The City Zone Case 889 - 02/23/1961/ j 1 (.,' i I / -q (c' 4~ 02-2.3 -l~(p\ ' ORDINANCE NO. -3599' oo-oq -lqu, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 889: CHANGE CERTAIN HEREINAFTER DESCRIBEJ PROPERTY FROM AN "R-1" TO AN "R-3" ZONING DISTRICT AND "R-P1 TO 11C-211 (SAID ·PROPERTY BEING LOCATED ON T-HE NORTH SIDE OF 34T.H STREET IN THE 4700 BLOCK)SUBJECT TO COND~NS. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda- tion• which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration,. the City Commission finds that making the zoning changes as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS., all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with,. as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 1011£~ Vernon1s Annotated Civil Statutes~ amended in 1953., and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Com- mission on such proposed amendment~ and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the Assembly Room of the Central Fire Station Building" located at 503 Avenue Kin Lubbock,, Texas:r. at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest., due to changed conditions,. that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth inthe body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinanc~ No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows;, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 889 . . A. Change the following de scribed property from an "R-111 to an "R-3u Zoning District to-wit: BEGINNING at a point which bears South 20 feet from the Southwest corner of Lot 313 of the BENDER TERRACE ADDITION to the City of Lubbock~. Lubbock County~ Texas; THENCE South ooott!Ott East a distance of 600 feet to a point of curvature; THENCE Southwesterly around a cur"\e to the right with radius of 118. 45 feet~ tangent length of 39. 54 feet_ delta of 36055l04", a chord distance of 75. 01 feet to a point of reverse curvature; THENCE around a curve to the left with radius of 118. 45 feet,. tangent les.gth of 39. 54 feet~ delta of 36°5510411,. a chord length of 75. 01 feet; THENCE South 0°01 1 1011~ East,. a distance of 15 feet to a point in the North line o£ 34th Street; THENCE North 89058•5011 East a distance of 184. 55 feet; I THENCE North 0~01'1011 West~ ·distance of 757.3 feet; I THENCE South 89°S8:lS011 West a distance of 137.05 feet\ to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. "'-. Subject to the following condition which applies to the next- above described property, to-wit: 1. That of£-street parking be provided with the develop- ment of the "R-3" zoned property with a minimum ratio of one space per unit for multi-family residential develop- . ment and one space for each 2.00 square feet of building area for clinic or professional building development. B. Change the following described property from an "R-1" to an "C-2.11 Zoning District~ to-wit: BEGINNING at a point which bears South oool 110" East a distance of 777. 3 feet and North 89058 15011 East~ a distance '-'·: of 137.05 feet from the Southwest corner of Lot 3l3,BEN- DER TERRACE ADDITION to the City of Lubbock~ Lubbock County1 Texas; THENCE North 89°Sstson East along the North line of 34th Street a distance of 157. Subject to the following condition which applies to the next- above described property~ to-wit: That the owners and/or developers shall make application for and secure a building permit within ten days after final passage of this ordinance. SECTION 2.. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordi- nance, said lots,, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accord ance herewith.
