AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE No0ftfs ~ T/jilP \ 1
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 890 : CHANGE CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED
IN THE 2200 BLOCK OF 50TH STREET (ON THE SOUTH SIDE) FROM AN "R:l"
TO AN 11R-3" ZONING DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda-
tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the
Chty Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out wi
be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953,
and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more tha
fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commissio
on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said nutice was
duly held in the Assembly Room of the Central Fire Station Building, located at
503 Avenue Kin Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of th
proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that
it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning
Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in
the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final
written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 890
Change the following described property, to-wit:
BEGINNING at a point which bears West 1, 056 feet and Sotl.th
75 feet from the Northeast corner of the Northwest one-fourth
of Section 3, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE South 22 7 feet to a point;
THENCE West 132 feet to a point;
THENCE North 227 feet to a point;
THENCE East 132 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING,
from an 11 R-111 to an 11R-311 zoning district.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordin-
ance, said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be
changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accorda e
