14. 1-99 AND 14. 1-100); PROVIDING A PENALTY; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLI-
CATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE OF THT.S ORDINANCE. . -
WHEREAS,Y various proposed revisions in Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 have
been referred to the Planning and Zoning Commission for their recommendations
and report, and said recommendations and report have been received by the City
Commission, and the City Commission finds that it would be in the interest of the
public safety, health, and welfare to amend Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 as herein-
after set forth; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Zoning Orilinance No. 1695 (same being an appendix to
Volum e I of the Lubbock City Code) be and the same is hereby amended in the
following respects:
A. Subsection lZ. 1-49 is hereby deleted from Subsection lZ. 1~ which Sub-
section reads as follows:
11 1 Z. 1-49 Tire Repair or Battery Shop. 11
B. Subsection 11. 1-18 is hereby added to Subsection 11. 1,. which shall
read as follows:
'HI. 1-18 Trampoline Center;.. Commercial. 11
C. Subsections 1Z.1-54 and lZ. 1-55 are hereby added to Subsection
lZ. 1• which shall read as follows:
11 1Z. 1-54 Muffler Shop. 11
11 1 z. 1-5 5 Tire Recapping and vulcanizing when incidental to new tire
sales. 11
D. Subsections 13. 1-65,. 13. 1-66. and 13. 1-67 are hereby added to Sub-
section 13. 1i which shall read as follows:
11 13. 1-65 Physical Testing Laboratory. 11
11 13. 1-66 Tire Recapping and Vulcanizing Plant. 11
11 13. -1-6 7 Meat processing Plant {no slaughter). 11
E. Subsections 14. 1-99 and 14. 1-100 are hereby added to Subsection 14. 1~
which shall read as follows:
11 14. 1-99 Go-Cart Track and/or Model Airplane Center. 11
11 14.1-100 Zoo~ Commercial."
SECTION 2.. Any per!jlon, firm, or corporation violating any provision of this
ordinance shall upon conviction be fined in any sum not to exceed $200. 00. Eaah
day a violation continues shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable
as such hereunder.
SECTION 3. The City Secretary shall cause the publication of this ordinance
once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper regularly published in the
City of Lubbock~ and this ordinance shall become effective ten days after its last
publication.
