AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO• 695 AND TH~ OFF!
!MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE:
ONE CASE NO. 877: CHANGE CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE. 5300
BLOCK OF 34TH STREET FROM AN "R ... l 11 TO A "C-4" ZONING DISTRICT; SUB-
JECT TO CONDITIONS.
WHEREAS., the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
een duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendatio ~hich was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City
1Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in
'the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to
he Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with., as well as giving no-
ices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices pro-
ided by Article 1011£" Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes~ amended in 1953, and
otice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen (15)
days prior to the date of the public h earing before the City Commission on such pro
posed amendment., and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in
he City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock~. Texas• at
hich time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and. after said hearing. it
as by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due
o changed conditions, that the Zoning @rdinance and the Zoning Map be amended in
he manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance
having been introduced in final written form prm to first reading hereof; NOW
THEREFORE.,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
1 SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
lithe same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE N0.877
Change the following described property• to-wit:
BEGINNING at an iron pipe set 1018.92 feet West and 40 feet South
of the Northeast corner of Section 6r.t Block E-2.., Lubbock County,
Texas, for the Northeast corner of this tracti
THENCE South 2.70. 41 feet to an iron pipe, for the Southeast corner
of this tract; ·
THENCE South 530541 West along the North right-of-way line of the
P. & S.F. R.R., at 61.88 feet pass a 3/4" iron pipe:1 at 215,05 feet
pass a 1/2." iron pipe, continuing for a total distance of 2.67. IS feet
feet to an iron pipe• set by M. J. Stalcup., for the Southwest corner
of this tract;
THENCE North ooo41 East 42.7. 82 feet to an iron pipe, set by M. J.
Sta.4cup for the Northwest corne r of this tract;
THENCE East at 41.6 feet pass a 1/2" iron pipe. at 165. 36 feet pass
a 3/411 iron pipe continuing for a total distance of 2.15 . 36 feet to the
PLACE OF BEGINNING.
from an "R-1" to a uc-4" zoning district. {Said property being located
