AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFI-
CIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
C-HANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 880: CHANGE LOTS 7• 8, AND 9, BLOCK 5, MASSE
HEIGHTS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK11. LUBBOCK COUNTY a TEXAS~
FROM AN "R-211 TO AN "R-3" ZONING DISTR.ICT.; (SAID PROPERTY BEING LO-
CATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF 33rd STREET IN THE 2400 BLOCK).; SUBJECT
TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION: 1. THAT CONSTRUCTION PLANS BE SUB-
MITTED FOR THE APPROVAL OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
PRIOR TO ISSUANCE OF A BUILDING PERMIT •
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendatio
which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration. the City
Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in ·
the public interest; and~
. WHEREAS,. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to
the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving no-
tices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices pro-
vided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953• and
notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than
fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission
on such proposed amendment._ and the public hearing according to said notice was
duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock;~~
Texastt at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; an~ after said
hearing~ it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public in
tere st1 due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be
amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this
Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereo
NOW, THEREFORE#
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSI.ON OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and th
same are hereby amended as follows• to-wit:

Change Lots 7~ 8,. and 9, Block 51 Massey Heights Addition to the
City of Lubbock:. Lubbock County~~' Texas_. from an "R-2,. to an 11R-311
zoning district. (Said property being located on the South side of
33rd Street in the 2400 Block).
subject to the following condition:
1. That construction plans be submitted fo;r the approval of the
Planning and Zoning Commission prior to issuance of a building

SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinanc
said lots. tracts and parcels of land described in 'Section 1 hereof shall be changed o
the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewit .. . '
