\ \ · to -I 9(.t> n 1 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE 'OFFI-
CIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF L ,UBB()CK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 871: CHANGE CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED IN
THE 800, 900~ AND 1000 BLOCKS OF IDALOU ROAD FROM AN "R-1" TO A
"C-411 ZONING DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Gommission for its recommenda-
tion~ which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration41 the
City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will
be in the public interest; and~

\,1(11 ft the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with2 as well as giving no-
[)t'G)Kfl tices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices pro-
. o 3JL vided byAt'ticle 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes• atnended in 1953~ and J;tff notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than
,J · tJ fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission
on such proposed amendment~ and the public hearing according to said notice was
duly held in ~he City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock,
Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said
hearing,. it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public
interest., due to cha,nged conditions;, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map
be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and
this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading
hereof; NOW• THEREFORE•

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSlON OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695.and the Offici~! Zoning Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO.; 8 71
Change the following described property from an "R-1" to a
"C-411 Zoning district1 to-wit:
BEGINNING at a point 10 feet North and 179.09 feet West of
the Northeast corner of Lot l:r Block 8, Flake Addition to the
City of Lubbock41• Lubbock County, Texas~ said point being in a
zone division line as established by Ordinance No. 1695 of the City
of Lubbock;
THENCE South 89°55t East for a distance of 208. 39 feet to a point;
THENCE North 35°25 1 East along the Northwest side of a dedicated
alley for a distance of 950 feet, more or less, to the most northerly
corner of Flake .Addition;
THENCE North 54°35• West for a dstance of 170 feet to a point;
THENCE South 35°251 West along the zone division line as established
by Ordinance No. 1695 of the City of Lubbock for a distance of 1, 087
feet, more or less,. to the POINT OF BEGINNING.

SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance,
said lots111 tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed
to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance here-
ith.
