AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE
WREREAS 9 the City Commission of the City of Lubbock f.inds it is
necessary to appropriate certain specific funds out of bond funds for
an a~proved project, and this ordinance deals with the daily operation
of City departments in the public interest which creates an emergency;
NOW~ THEREFORE~
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
There is hereby appropriated out of the following described bond
fund, to-wit: Street I mprovement Fu~d
TRE sum 15,480 .00
For the following purpose :
Acquire Parcel 12-1 through 12-4, Idalou Road from
Bert E. Sewell for the considerati~n of $5385 plus
895 legal f ees and clearing right of way .•
WHEREAS 9 an emergency exists as shown in the preamble to this
ordinance, the enactment of this ordinance is declared to be an
emergency measure thereby creating a public necessity that the rule
requiring proposed ordinances to be presented at two (2) separate
commission meetings be dispensed with; and thi s ordi nance shall be
effective from the date of its passageo

Parcel 12-1, 12-2, 12-3, 12-4, Idalou Road, B. E. Sewell
Four tracts of land out of Block 2, Gordon-Bozeman Addition to Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas and conveyed to B. E. Sewell and Florence Sewell by
deed dated November 27, 1956, of record in vol. 640, page 163, Deed Records
of Lubbock County, Texas, which four tracts of land are more particularly
described as follows:
Tract 12-1 A tract of land out of Lot 8, Block 2, in ·said addition:
BEGINNING at the north corner of said Lot 8 on the present southeasterly
right of way line of U.S. Highway 62 & 82;
THENCE S 45°51' W 50.0 feet with the northwesterly line of Lot 8 and
said right of way line to the west corner of Lot 8;
THENCE S 44°09' E 6.8 feet with the southwesterly line of Lot 8;
THENCE N 41°55.4' E 50.1 feet across Lot 8 to the northeasterly line
of Lot 8;
THENCE N 44°09' W 3·3 feet with said lot line to the point of beginning,
and contains o.oo6 of one acre.
Tract .12-2 A tract of land out of Lots 9 & 10, Block 2, in said addition:
BEGINNING at the north corner of Lot 9 on the present southeasterly
right of way line of U.S. Highway 62 & 82;
THENCE S 45°51' W 100.0 feet with the northwesterly line of Lots 9 & 10
and said right of way line to the west corner of Lot 10;
THENCE S 44°09' E 13.6 feet with the southwesterly line of Lot 10;
THENCE N 41°55.4' E 100.2 feet across Lots 10 & 9 to the northeasterly
line of Lot 9;
THENCE N 44°09' W 6.8 feet with said lot line to the point of beginning,
and contains 0.023 of one acre.
