PLACE PROPERTY CHANGED IN ZONING CLASSIFICATION (ZONE CASE NOo 853 )
IN FIRE ZONE NO o 2; AND DECLI\RING AN EMERGENCY AND FFFECI'IVE DATE OF THIS
ORDINANCEo
\VHEREAS, the City Commission finds that in all zone changes to the ncu Zone
Classifications that such property should be pl~ced in Fire Zone Noo 2 immedi-
ately to protect the lives, safety, and property of the cit~zens of the City of
Lubbock, which creates an emergency; NOW THEREFORE:
BE rr ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECI'ION lo .,,THAT The following described property changed in zone by ORDI-
NANCE NO o .Jl"82 , to-wit:
Being a part of Lot 4., Block 25, of the Crump Five Acre AdditiCil
to the City o( Lubbock, in Lubbock County, Texas, described by
metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersectiCil of the east line of Avenue Q with "t!le north line of 48th Street, as presently established;
THmCE east along the north line of 48th Street an approximate
distance of 96.9 feet to a point 125 feet east of the original
west line of said Lot 4;
THENCE north 145 feet;
THFl.CE west parallel to the south line of said Lot 4 a distance
of 97.4 feet to the ea.st right-of-way line of .&.venue Q;
THENCE south 0° 14' east 145 feet along said right-of-way line to
the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
(Said property being located at the northeast comer of the intel'-
section of Avenue Q and 48th Street).
BE AND THE SAME IS Hereby changed md/ or placed in fire zone No. 2 and the
"FIRE ZONE MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK" duplicate original located in the Build-
ing Inspector's office shall be amended in accordance hereWi.tl:. by the Building
Inspector or at his direction, and this change shall constitute an amendment to
Fire Zoning Ordinance No. 1447 and Secti011 1601., Part IV., Chapter 16 of the
Lubbock City Code., relative to fire zoneso
SECTION 2.. The rule requiring an ordinance to be read on two readings before
final passage is hereby suspended, and this ordinance is declared to be an emer-
gency measure for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereof, to take effect
iumediate1y after its passageo
