AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LUBBOCK CITY CODE SO AS TO PRO ..
VIDE ONE FREE RE ... INSPECTION OF NEW BUILDINGS AND ADDITIONS OR
ALTERATION OF OLD BUILDINGS AND RE-INSPECTION FEES THEREAFTER;
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND PROVIDING
FOR PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE OF TlRS ORDINANCE•
WHEREAS~ this ordinance affects the daily operation of the Building Inspec
tion Department of the City of Lubbock which creates an emergency; NOW THERE-
FORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Section 203 of the Building Code of the City of Lubbock
(included in Volume 11 of the Lubbock City Code) is hereby amended by adding at
the end thereof a new paragraph which shall read as follows:
"There shall be no charge for one re .. inspection of new buildings
and additions or alteration of old buildings, and when mo.r-e than
oae re ... inspection is required,, a re .. inspection fee of two dollars
and fifty cents for each additional re-inspection shall be charged. 11
SECTION 2. Since this is an .emergency measure as set forth in the pream e
hereof:t t~e rule requiring two readings of this ordinance is suspended~. and this
ordinance shall take effect in:unediately after its passage.
SECTION 3. The City Secretary shall cause the publication of this ordi ..
nance once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper regularly published
