AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOW-
ING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 854; CHANGE CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE
VICINITY OF 48th STREET AND AVENUE Q FROM AN "R-2" TO A 11C-311
ZONING DISTRICT.;
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda-
tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the
City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will
'be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giv.ing no
tices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices pro-
v·:ded by Article lOllf~ Vernon1 s Annotated Civil Statutes;J amended in 1953, and
notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanc he Journal more than
ifteen(l5) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission
on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was
duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock,
Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and., after said
hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public in
terest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be
amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this
Ordinance having been introduced in final written fo:an prior to first reading hereof;
NOW,. THEREFORE,, I
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: I·
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and I
he same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 8 54
Change the following described property from an 11R -211 to a 11C-311
zoning district, to-wit:
Being a part of Lot 4, Block 25, Crump Five Acre Addition to the
City of Lubbock~ Lubbock County~ Texas;
BEGINNING 253 feet \Vest of the Southeast corner of said Lot 4;
THENCE North 145 feet;
THENCE West 2.54. 5 feet;
THENCE South 145 feet;
THENCE East 254.5 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
(Said property being located on the North side of 48th Street East
of Avenue Q}i

SECTION Z. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordi-
ance said lots;r tracts., and parcels of land described in Section 1, hereof shall be
hanged to the Zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accor-
ance herewith.
