Official Map Of The City Zone Case 853 - 06/23/1960JWF: ic 01 -1 3 -,g.uu ORDINANCE N0.3_1_8_2 __ 11 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO,MAKE THE FOLLOW- ING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 853: CHANGE CERTAIN PROPERTY IN VICI- NITY OF 48TH STREET AND AVENUE Q FROM AN "R-211 TO A "C-3'' ZONING DISTR.ICT. WHEREAS. the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendation which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS,. all conditions precedent r~quired by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices pro- vided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen ,15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment• and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall:J Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW,. THEREFOREt. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSI.ON OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and he same are hereby amended as follows., to-wit: A ZONE CASE NO. 8 53 Change the following described property from an "R-211 to a "C-311 zoning district, ... to-wit:. Being a part of Lot 411 Block 25, of the Crwnp Five Acre Addition to the City of Lubbock, in Lubbock County~ Texas, described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at the intersection of the East line of Avenue Q with the North line of 48th Street• as presently established; THENCE East along the North line of 48th Street an approximate dis- tance of 96. 9 feet to a point 125 feet East of the original West line of said Lot 4; THENCE North 145 feet; THENCE West parallel to the South line of said Lot 4 a distance of 97. 4 feet to the East right-of-way line of Avenue Q; THENCE South 0°141 East 145 feet along said right-of-way line to the JlLACE OF BEGINNING, (Said property being located at the Northeast corner of the intersection of Avenue Q and 48th Street.} SECTION 2.. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordi- nance said lots. tracts, and parcels of land described in Section 1. hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accor- dance herewith.
