\m.EREAS, the City Commission finds that in all zone changes to the "C" Zone
Classifications that such property should be pla.ced in Fire Zone No. 2 i.Dinedi-
ately to protect the lives, safety, and property of the citizens of the City of
Lubbock, which creates an emergency; NOW' THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECI'ION 1. THAT The following described property changed in zone by ORDI-
NANCE NO. 3130 1 to-wit:
Lots ll, 12, and 13, Southeast Heights
Addi tian. and Lots 7 and 8, Overton Sub-
division of Block 341 Suburban Hanes
Addition, both being additians to the
City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.
(Said property being located in the 4200
Block of Avenue A).
BE AND THE S.AHE IS Hereby changed and/or placed in fire .zone No. 2 and the
"FIRE ZONE HAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK" duplicate original located in the Build-
ing Inspector's office shall be amended in accordance herewitl.. by the Building
Inspector or at his direction, and this change shall constitute an amendment to
Fire Zoning Ordinance No. 1447 and Section 16011 Part IV, Chapter 16 of the
Lubbock City Code, relative to fire zones ..
SECTION 2. The rule requiring an ordinance to be read on two readings before
final passage is hereby suspended, and this ordinance is declared to be an emer-
gency measure for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereof 1 to take effect
immediately after its passage ..
