AN ORDINANCE AME:IDING THE FIRE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO c~ ,Y
PLACE PROPmTY CHANGED lN ZONING a.ASSIFICATION (ZONE CASE NO. 830 ) 1?
IN FIRE ZONE NO. 2; AND DECLARING AN »JERGENCY AND FFFECI'IVE DATE OF THIS ,
ORDINANCE.

Classifications that such property should be placed in Fire Zane No. 2 ilmnedi-
ately to protect the lives# .safety 1 and property of the citizens of the City of
Lubbock, which creates an emergency; NOW THEIUFORE:
BE rr ORDAINED BY THE CITY OOMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK;
SECTION 1. THAI' the following described property changed in zone by ORDI-
NANCE NO. 3125 1 to-wit;
1. BEGINNING at the northwest comer of Lot 1, Newtm Addition to the
City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE south along the west line of said Lot 1 for a distance of 572.15 feet
to its southwest comer;
THENCE east for a distance of 632 feet, more or less to a point in the west
right-of-way line of Indiana Avenue;
THENCE north al.oo.g said right-of-way lin.~ to a point in the south ri.ght-of-wa.y
line of Clovis Road ;
THENCE north 56° 57' west along said right-of-way line of Clovis Road to the
POINT OF BIDINNJNG.
2. BEGINNING at a point in the south right-of-way line of Clovis Road,
said point being north 56° 57' west a distance of 21 310 feet frcm the inter-
sectioo. of said right-of-way line and the east line of Survey 181 Block A1 Lubbock Comty 1 Texas;
THENCE south 33° 03' west for a distance of 330 feet to a point;
THENCE north 56° 57' west to the south comer of Lot 2, Clovis Road Addition;
THENCE continuing north 56° 57' vest to a point in the north line of said
Survey 181 Block A.;
THENCE east al.oo.g the north line of said Survey 181 Block A1 to a point in
the south right-of-way line of Clovis Road;
THENCE south 56° 57' east al.ong the south right-of-way line of Clovis Road
to the POINr OF BEGINNING.
3. BFl7INNING at a point ill the west right-of-way line of Frankford
Avenue., which point lies south 80 feet and west 40 feet from the northeast

of 800 feet to a point for a corner;

THENCE north 146 feet to a point in the southeast right-of-way of State
Highway Loop 289;

to the right, said curve ·having an interior angle of 47° 18' 1 a tangent
of 90.65 feet and a radius of 207 feet;
THENCE along said curve to the right a distance of 170.64 feet to the point
of tangency with the south right-of-way line of 19th Street;
THENCE east almg the south right-of-way line of 19th Street a distance
of 214.7 feet to a point and the beg:innjng of a curve to the right, said
curve ha'Ving an interior angle of 90° and a radius of 15 feet;
THENCE along said curve to the right to the point of tangency with the
west right-of-way line of Frankford Avenue and the PLACE OF BEGINNING.

THENCE south for a distance of 183.6 feet to a point;
THENCE west for a distance of 752 feet, more or less, to a point in the
east right-of-way line of Milwaukee Avenue;
THENCE north for a distance of 183.6 feet to a point in the south right-at-
way Hne of 19th Street;
THENCE east along the south right-of-wa:y line of 19th Street for a distance
of 752 feet more or less to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
7. BEGINNING at the northwest comer of Lot 2, Block 2, West Fhd Place
Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock CoWlty, Texas;
THENCE west for a distance of 180 feet to a point;
THENCE south for a distance of 183.6 feet to a pomt ;
THENCE east for a distance of 180 feet to a point;
THENCE north for a distance of 183.6 feet to the POINT OF BEJJINNING.
BE AND THE SAME IS hereby changed and/or p1aced m fire zone No. 2 and the
tfFIRE ZONE MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOcxn duplicate original located in the Build-
ing Inspector's office shall be amended in accordance herewith by the Building
Inspector or at his direction., and this change shall constitute an amendment to
Fire Zaning Ordinance No. 1447 and Section 1601, Part IV 1 Chapter 16 of the
Lubbock City Code, relative to fire zones.

SECTION 2. The rule requl'ting an ordinance to be read on two readings before
final passage is hereby suspended, and this ordinance is declared to be an emer-
gency measure for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereof, to take effect
immediately after its passage.
