ORDINANCE NO. 3127
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE pF A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT
IN ZONE CASE NO. 844 ;:; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY: AND PROVIDING
FOR PUBLICATION.
· WHEREAS, after ~ceiving the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Com-
mission and after due notice and public hearing and all matters having been done and
performed as required by Section 14-A of Zoning Ordinance 1695 of the City of Lub-
bock (said Ordin.ance being an Appendix to the Lubbock City Code)relating t-t> Specific
Use Permits, the City Commission finds that due to changed conditions it would be
expedient and in the interest of the public health, safety, morals, and general wel-
fare to authorize the granting of a Specific Use Permit as hereinafter set forth; and,
WHEREAS, this Ordinance affects the daily operation of the Planning and Zoning
. Departments of the City of Lubbock, which creates an emergency; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. The Director of Planning of the City of Lubbock is authorized· to
issue a · Specific Use Permit to the Applicant in Zone Caae No~ 844 in accordance
with the recommendations and conditions imposed by the Planning and Zoning Com-
mission, and the City Commission, provided said Applicant agrees to be bound by
the terms of the Specific Use Permit, the granting of which is hereby made subject
to compliance by said. Applicant with all terms of said Specific Use Permit and fur-
~ ther subject to all provisions of Zoning Ordinance Noo 1695 of the City of Lubbock
V including particularly, hut not limited toi Section 14 .. A thereof relating to Specific
Use Permits. (The property is located in the 2200 Block of 50th Street).
SECTION 2. The City Secretary shall cause the publication of this Ordinance
once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper regularly published in the
City of Lubbock.
SECTION 3. Since this Ordinance is an emergency measure for the reasons
set forth in the preamble he reof, the rule requiring two readings before final pas-
sage is hereby suspended, and this ordinance ~hall take effect immediately after its
passage.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED
On Motion of Commissioner Chappell , seconded by Com-
missioner 0'Mara , the above and foregoing Ordinance was un-
animously passed by the City Commission thislL day of May , 19E.Q_.
