AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFI- CIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF L 'UBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 830. PLACE CERTAIN PROPERTIES CONSIDERED Y THIS CASE WI-nCH LIE GENERALLY SOUTH AND WEST OF CLOVIS ROAD AND NORTH OF 34TH STREET IN THE WEST AND NORTHWEST SECTIONS OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK IN THE PERMANENT lfR-\If. HC-4" .. 11C-3''~o 11 C-2"• AND "R-3" ZONING DISTRICTS RESPECTIVELY AS MORE PARTICULARLY SET FORTH IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE. WHEREASa the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommen- dation-which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and~. ,. WHEREA~ all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article .lOllf# Vernon1s Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 19537 and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fif- teen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment,. and the pub~ic hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall~ Lubbock, Texas. at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and after said hearinga it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions;~. that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and tlis Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof: NOWa THEREFORE• BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSlON OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and II the same are hereby amended as follows~ to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 830 Change the following described property (except certain portions thereof zoned otherwise as hereinafter more particularly des- cribed) in the permanent "R-1 '' Zoning District to-wit: that por- tion of the property annexed to the Oty of Lubbock, Texas. by Ordinance No. 2535 of said City on September 11, 1958, that lies North of the centerline of 34th Street and that portion of the property annexed to the City of Lubbock, Texas,. by Ordinance No. 2.536 of said City on September 11, 1958,. that lies Soutp: and West of the North right-of-way line of the Clovis brancil. of the Panhandle & Santa Fe Railway. (Said property lies gene- rally South and West of Clovis Road and North of 34th Street in the West and Northwest sections of the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, ~xas).
