V\ OF FINAL PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE.; · I WHEREAS,. the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda- tio~ which was received by the City Commission and after due considerationa the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and,. 1 WHEREAS,. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied witha as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 1011£~ Vernon1s Annotated Civil Statutes. amended in 1953~ and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Mor1ung Avalanche more than fif- teen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendmenta and the public hearing according to said notice was duly .held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall"), Lubbock~ Texas~ at which time persons appeared in support of the propos~; and~ after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest,. due to changed conditions~ that the Zoning Ordinance and I the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this I Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first readi!}.g hereof; NOW:. THEREFORE,. II BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as followst. to-wit: ZONE CASE NO.o 829 Change the following described property,, to-wit: BEGINNING at a point in the South right-of-way line of Slaton Road (U,; S,; Highway No. 84) said point being 3., 695.55 feet West of the East line of Section 3• Block S. ~ Lubbock County~ Texas; THENCE in a Southeasterly direction along said right-of-way line to a point 111 055. 55 feet West of the Eaat line of said Section 3; · THENCE South for a distance of 554.4 feet to a poi:rt; THENCE West for a distance of 16Z.feet to a point; THENCE North 73°37' West parallel with the South right-of-way line of Slaton Road {U.s. Highway No. 84) to a point 37 695.55 feet West of the East line of Section 3; THENCE North for a distance of 600 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.o =====-~==-=-=======-- from an •rR -Itt to an 11M -111 zoning district. (Said property being located in the vicinity of Slaton Road and Zenith Avenue), Subject to the following condition: That the owners and/ or developers shall make application. lor and secure a building permit within ten months after the date of final pas- sage of this ordinance. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Or- dinance said lots7 tracts, and parcels of land described in Section 1~ hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Offi.i:ial Map is amended in ac- cordance herewith.
