HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 3090-1960 - Amending Zoning Ordinance 1695 And The Official Map Of The City Of Lubbock - 03/24/1960===============-os-24-T9w ORDINANCE NO. 3090 ~ 04-0(0-'-~ln(\ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 XND'"T HE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 809 : PLACE PROPERTY ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK BY ORDINANCE NO. 2536 LOCATED NORTH OF CLOVIS ROAD AND WEST OF THE CANYON BRANCH OF THE PANHANDLE AND SANTA ' FE RAILROAD IN THE "R-111, "M-211 , "M-111, AND "C-411 ZONING DISTRICTS AS HEREINAFTER MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THJS ORDINANCE. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda- tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will ee in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Orilinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as givia:g notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, I and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen j (15) days prior to the date of the publ!c hearing before the City Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor 'Of the City Hall, Lubboc Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the prOilosal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner her~inafter set fortlLin the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are h~reby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 809 : Place all of the following described property (except certain hereinafter described tracts) in the "R-111 Zoning District, to-wit: BEGINNING at a point, said point being the intersection of the West right of way line o£ the Canyon branch of the Pan- handle & Santa Fe Railroad and the North line of Survey 16, Block A, in Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE West 786.41 feet to a point; THENCE South 4381.0 feet to a point; THENCE South 63°5010211 East 832.54 .feet to a point; THENCE East 1270 fe~t more or less to a point, said point being in the centerline of North Avenue N; THENCE South to a point, said point being 150 feet North of the South line of said Survey 16, Block A; THENCE West parallel to and 150 feet North of said South line of Survey 16, to a point in the centerline of North Avenue U; THENCE North to a point 660 feet North of said South line ofSurvey 16; THENCE West parallel to and 660 feet North of said South line of Survey 16, to a point 30 feet East of the West line of said Survey 16; -----THENCE South to a point 30 fe·et East of the Southwest corner of said Survey 16; THENCE West 750 feet, more or less, to a point in the most Northerly right of way line of the Clovis branch of the Panhandle & Santa Fe Railroad; THENCE Northwesterly along said right of way line to a point 150 feet North of the North line of Survey 18 of said Block A; _.............. ..
