AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 83Z : CHANGE LOT 1, B&CK.SUBDIVISION OF
BLOCK 28, ROBERTS & MCWHORTER ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK,!
LUBBOCK COUNTY• TEXAS, FROM AN "R-311 TO A "C·l" ZONING DISTRICT.
(SAID PROPERTY BEING LOCATED AT 202 AVENUES); SUBJECT TO THE
FOLLOWING CONDITION: THAT THE OWNERS AND/OR DEVELOPERS SHALL
MAKE APPUCATION FOR AND SECURE A BUilDING PERMIT WITHIN TEN
MONTHS AFTER THE DATE OF FINAL PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS. the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda-
tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the
City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out wil
be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to
the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
I provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated CiW. Statutes, amended in 1953,
and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen
(15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on
such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was
duly held· in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubboc ,
Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said
hearing, it wa~ by the City 6ommission determined that it would be in the public
interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map
be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and
this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading
hereof; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
I SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 832
Change Lot"J. Beck Subdivision of Block 28, Roberts &t
McWhorter Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock
County, Texas,. from an "R-311 to a "C-111 zoning district.
(Said property being located at 202 Avenue S); SUBJECT
TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION: That the owners and/or
developers shall make application for and secure a building
permit within ten months after the date of final passage of
this Ordinance.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinanc ,
said lots, trat:ts, and parcels of land described in Section l, hereof shall be chang d
to the zoning district i ndicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance
herewith.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED
