ORDINANCE NO. 3041 l3 0\-26-l~lOO AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE I· l OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK so AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING I :--1 ftco CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 824 : CHANGE. CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE VICINITY OF 54TH STREET AND AVENUE T AS MORE PARTICUlARLY ~HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED FROM AN "R-111 TO AN "R-211 ZONING DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has / (j been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda-. f/ tion and said recommendation was a gainst the proposed change, which was ~ received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the City Commis- 1 / fl sion finds that making the proposed change as he;reinafter set out will be in the I public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Vern011's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on 1 such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubboc Texas, at which time persons were given an opportunity to appear in support of and against the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordnance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the b9dy of this Ordinance and this Ordinance h.a ving been introduced in final written form prior to first ·reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION l. THAT Ordnance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 824 Change the following described property from an "R-111 to an 11R-211 Zoning District, to-wit: BEGINNING 243.35 feet East and 1153 feet South, 001 1 East of the Northwest corner of the Northeast quarter (NE 1/4) of Section 3, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE North 89°581 East, a distance of 591.65 feet to a point; THENCE South 0°1' Eas~. a..di-,fan:ce. oL 85.0 feef to a point fli:..t.ludiouth boundary line of 56th Street, for the Southeast corner this tract; THENCE South 89°581 West along the South line of said 56th Street a distance of 170 feet to a point in the middle of Avenue T; THENCE North 0°1' West a distance of 683 feet to a point in the middle of 54th Street; THENCE South 89°581 West a distance of 416.65 feet to a point; THENCE North 0°1' West a distance of 167 feet to the Pl.ACE OF BEGINNING. SECTION z. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinan said lots, tracts and parcels 9f land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith.
